Description

Flat sawn split face bracewood, produced with the finest tonewood fiber in the world. Procured from salvage sourced old-growth Sitka Spruce.

This is split face bracewood stock that has been flat-sawn. Perfect for those that wish to radius profile a board and cut multiple VG braces. This is a special cut item. Most of our bracewood stock is cut VG[quarter-sawn] and customers end up making weaker flat-sawn braces from those. This product is sold by boardfoot volume. 1 bdft = 144 cu inches. We have been told by luthiers that 1 bdft should be enough for bracing of 2 guitars.

This bracewood product is cut random width from 2" up to as much as 7" depending on the block thickness getting cut. Also, most is cut at 1" thick.
