1 Piece Yellow Cedar Dread Guitar Top

These tops are produced from the finest tonewood fiber in the world. Procured from salvage sourced old-growth Alaskan Yellow Cedar.

This just does not happen very often. How often can you hold 1 board and see over 450 years of recorded history of that trees life, in its growth lines. 1 line per year. I haven`t actually found the vision enhancing tools nor the time to count all the growth lines. So I just estimated that there are over 10″ with at least 30 lines per inch and some looser texture. No mineral stains, no hard grain. Just clean yellow cedar fiber and a stiff as glass VG cut soundboard. I have added a bit of weight to the shipping weight, because to ship this board it will take a lot of bracing to protect from breakage during shipping transit. We have a few 1 pc classical size boards also. Inquire by email. One would do better by ordering other products to ship with one of these for protection, or to purchase multiple boards for combined stiffness. Also we have some boards that are narrower that will work GREAT for smaller body instruments. Please do EMAIL ME IF YOU ONLY NEED 13-15″ wide boards.

The board was cut 2 years ago, from a blown over tree we purchased in 2013. And the tree had blown over ne less than 30 yrs prior, as evidenced by the smaller trees growing on top of our blowdown. The top was dried to under 8%MC in our dry room. And has been in our climate controlled warehouse since.
