I just recently finished a guitar with one of these Alaska Specialty Woods MA Sitka tops. Unbelievably happy with how it turned out. The wood was incredibly stiff, light, filled with medullary rays, straight-grained, defect free, and just perfect. I have a few more of these tops to use, but once I do, I will 100% be back to get more. I have full confidence in these tops, and highly recommend if you are looking.

I have purchased several soundboard now, and have been very pleased with each one. My last top was a master grade torrefied soundboard for a special custom build…absolutely beautiful top and sounds fantastic.
I’ve built numerous 00-28 guitars with torrified Sitka spruce from another supplier with satisfactory results. For my latest build I decided to up the game and purchased a Master Grade Sitka Spruce Torrified top from Alaska Specialty woods. The wood was exceptionally easy to work and the sound of this guitar is the best yet. I will never go elsewhere for soundboards. Alaska Specialty Woods is simply the best!
