High grade Western Red Cedar Dyre harp Guitar top set

Western Red Cedar Dyre size harp
Large enough for a 2 pc Dyer style harp guitar top. This is the cleanest, most homogeneous color red cedar we have. Though there is lots of red cedar here on Prince Of Wales Island, Most is quite colorful and stripey. Most of the red cedar large enough for wide clear long cutting like this, there will be 2 distinct colors of brown and blonde in the same board. But these boards are one clean color. With fine texture from even old growth. Sold by the top. 2 tops ordered may be only 3 sequentially cut boards 44″ long x 10+” wide, where the middle board can be cut in half of the length for each guitar side of the soundboard. The 2 sets currently in stock are of 3 sequentially cut boards and blonde in color.
Likewise a single top purchase may consist of 1 long board for the harp side and 1 short for the guitar side, But rest assured, they are bookset cut.
These tops are produced from the finest tonewood fiber in the world from salvage sourced old-growth Western Red Cedar.

- Q Are you able to supply Western Red Cedar 7-8mm thick (or a bit more), 4+ inches wide (or wider), ... answer nowAsked by September 14, 2018 10:38 amonAnswered by the admin
Yes, We can do that. It would be a custom cut, You could order the sq foot volume of the sitka Harp stock, and say in the notes/comment box to us, to substitute with western red cedar. But Dave, I don't know that the red cedar would hold up to the string tension like sitka does. Red Cedar is so much softer, brittle and weak, compared to Sitka.
