That specie started growing on our island aprox. 5000 yrs ago.
The Red cedar in this region is usually very nice fine texture with fine grain, but tends to be more colorful than the neighbors growing to the south in British Columbia and Washington. I would describe our cedar as earthy and with character.
These tops are produced from the finest tonewood fiber in the world from salvage sourced old-growth Western Red Cedar.
