Most 2-piece bookset boards are cut approximately 6″ x 15-16″ long, but may not pattern across the full width and length. These tops will pattern (per half) with lower bout width 5-5.75″, waist 3.25-3.5″, upper bout 3.75-3.875″ x 13-14 inches long, which corresponds to standard baritone ukulele patterns. If your measurements approach these dimensions, please contact us before ordering or note your specifications in the checkout comments box.
These soundboards are produced from the finest tonewood fiber available, procured from salvage-sourced old-growth Western Red Cedar timber with remarkable acoustic properties.
Enhanced Resonance and Tonality for Red Cedar Soundboards
Crafted from old-growth Western Red Cedar, renowned for its exceptional stiffness-to-weight ratio, these AAA-grade tops deliver superior projection and a broad, expressive dynamic range. The natural aging process of this centuries-old timber imbues the wood fiber with enhanced resonant properties, creating a rich, warm, and articulate tone. This makes our Red Cedar flat top Mandolin soundboards ideal for instruments demanding superior clarity and sustain, far surpassing the capabilities of younger, plantation-grown alternatives. Luthiers will appreciate the consistent, fine grain that contributes to both structural integrity and acoustic excellence, forming the perfect foundation for a truly remarkable instrument.
