Introducing Earth-Tone Soundboards

Alaska Specialty Woods Inc. has emerged as a world class, custom shop soundboard producer. We are also the largest producer in the world that uses 100% salvage sourced old growth Sitka Spruce timber that is procured locally. We are also the largest soundboard producer in the state of Alaska.

Aged wood has long been regarded as a premium wood fiber. Lumbermen through the centuries have seasoned their logs when able, to produce the finest wood products. We start with material that has Time on its side. Attributes only time will produce. Along with the Time factor, are the elements of climate that also add character, that only those two elements of nature combined can do.

We would like to introduce to the world, our Earth-Tone line of Earth Friendly tonewood products of Sitka Spruce, Cedars, and other woods native to SE Alaska. Including our namesake product-sort of Earth-Tone Western Red Cedar soundboards. All of our red cedar is very old salvage. Time and the abundance of water in the form of rain falling from the clouds, or some of our water cured beach salvaged logs, combined with the oils of the cedar, has naturally produced some absolutely gorgeous colors of wood fiber. Colors that are earthy. These gems of wood fiber are dissected and processed by our experienced sawyers into the finest soundboard products that are also earthy in tone; soundboards produced for projecting sound as they are intended.
