# Ultra Light Sitka Spruce Jumbo Top

You can get the same tonal properties desired from tops produced from other logs with the same or similar physical/tonal attributes by ordering a "Variation" from any of the products that have an "Ultra-Light" variation option available. Currently it is available in the Dreadnought size Non-figured sitka spruce tops Grades A, AA, AAA and AAAA/Master.We should have  classical size flat tops and various carved top instrument fronts available soon. Ultra Light Jumbo tops are produced from the finest tonewood fiber in the world. Procured from salvage sourced old-growth Sitka Spruce.

Some are cut from  old log floats built between 1950-1985  and some Cut from bridge stringer log we purchased in 1998. A log that was cut in the early 80`s for a log bridge. It is the lightest weight sitka we have ever encountered out of millions of board feet of large diameter sitka we have processed into soundboard material. 15% lighter as a matter of fact. About the same weight as our fine textured western red cedar. It is a bit looser texture that most old growth. The butt of the log had wider grain than the small end 60+ feet up the tree. They are loud and vibrant. Most boards have the occasional bearclaw.
Dreadnaught -  Most 2 pc bookset boards are cut  8.5+” x 23 but may or not pattern all of the width and length. These tops will pattern   Lower bout 8”,  waist 5.25 , upper bout 5.75” x 19.75-20” inches long which is the range of the 4 dreadnought gtr patterns we have to go by. If your measurements crowd these dimensions, it would be wise to let us know what your doing in the comments box of the order, during checkout; or best,  contact us before ordering.
